Queens, Bronx & Manhattan
SERVICES AT A GLANCE
The Arms Acres Outpatient Clinic in Carmel, N.Y. offers
a variety of services to clients suffering from the disease of alcoholism and chemical
dependency. The clinic provides educational, early support groups and intensive individual
or group therapy to clients who are not in need of inpatient treatment. The clinic also
provides a continuum of treatment for clients making the transition from inpatient
treatment and who are returning home.
Adolescent Programs
Since adolescent clients have specific treatment issues, the clinic
offers a continuum of service which focuses directly on specific needs.
The Intensive
After School Program for 12 - 18 year old clients is held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. and consists of therapy, recreation, education, homework
assignments and skills management training.
The Adolescent Clinic Service Program is less intensive
and meets on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 PM.- 7:30 PM.
The Adolescent Multi-Family Group is held on Tuesday from 6:00 PM -
7:30
PM - cost free. Safe transport is extremely important; therefore, parents and legal
guardians are required to provide transportation.
Adult Programs
The
adult outpatient programs are delivered in a manner conducive to
clients with family/work commitments.
Intensive groups are held Monday - Friday, 9:00 am -
12:00 PM, and Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM.
The
adult clinic services
are held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Individual counseling and
evaluations are scheduled by appointment.

All Arms Acres programs are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Healthcare Organizations and licensed by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and
Substance Abuse. Arms Acres accepts Medicaid, commercial insurance and most of the
